What is BGMC?

BGMC is the missions education program for kids in the Assemblies of God.  BGMC stands for “Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge.”
Kids are taught from an early age to Pray, Give and Go.
They learn to regularly pray for our missionaries, to give to missions even with what little they have and to pray about the possibility of going as a missionary one day.
Kid’s put their money in a “Buddy Barrel.”  Buddy, our BGMC mascot, was created as a symbol of the barrels missionaries used to transport their supplies in on ships as they traveled to the mission field. Today, Buddy is a symbol of the generosity of children to reach the world. The money raised through BGMC is used to provide our missionaries with what they need to spread the gospel on in an unconventional way.
