BIO

Nathan and Mindy Lopez have faithfully served in full-time ministry for over two decades, with a deep love for the local church and the next generation. Nathan began his ministry journey in 1999 as a Youth Pastor in Angoon, Alaska, and in 2002, Mindy joined him in full-time ministry as they served together as Youth Pastors in Wasilla, Alaska.
They later ministered for five years in Omaha, Nebraska, where Mindy served as a Youth Pastor and Nathan served as an Associate Pastor, leading in worship and serving in multiple ministry roles. These years helped shape their heart for discipleship, leadership development, and building healthy, Spirit-led ministries.
From 2016 to 2026, Nathan and Mindy served as Lead Pastors of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Petersburg, Alaska, Nathan’s hometown where he was born and raised. Throughout their time in Petersburg, they were deeply involved in leading and supporting the youth ministry, investing in students, families, and leaders, and helping cultivate a culture of passionate worship and wholehearted pursuit of Jesus.
In March 2026, Nathan officially stepped into the role of Next Gen Director / District Youth Director for Alaska. Mindy serves alongside him by heading up Alaska Outreach and assisting in the Next Gen/DYD office. Together, they carry a strong passion to see the youth of Alaska encounter Jesus in a way that changes them forever and to equip students to boldly share the life-changing power of the Gospel with their peers.
Nathan and Mindy also exist to train, equip, empower, and walk alongside youth pastors and youth ministries across Alaska. They love seeing students worship the Lord with all their hearts and are honored to lead and serve the passionate, hungry youth and youth leaders of Alaska as they run after Jesus together.
Nathan and Mindy are blessed with three amazing children—Kasiah, their oldest; Cadence, their middle daughter; and Daven, their youngest. While their family is in different seasons and locations, their shared heart for ministry and love for Alaska remain central to who they are and how they serve.
Nathan and Mindy are honored to serve the churches of Alaska. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything they can do to support, encourage, or help your youth ministry.
